I don't really know anything about Yes. Is the album that song is from any good? I looked it over at the store but I didn't like the cover and I don't like when bands use a number as an album title. I like that song when it comes on the classic rock station though.

That is a good song rather that a crap one that you shouldn't like.

i did'nt say at all that it's crappy, absolutely no way :)
Pistols geniusly covered 'Stepping Stone'
but still the Monkees are should be considered as the low-point of 60's pop
a pattern of modern pre-fab boys bands, which everyone with proper taste shall despise

this would be true if the monkees didn't have utter genius songwriters in the stable - boyce and hart, neil diamond, carole king, paul williams. plus, the monkees could, and fought for the ability to, play their own instruments and write. peter tork plays something like 7-8 instruments incredibly proficiently and michael nesmith is a highly respected guitarist.

none of the cool of the stones or beatles, but the fact both bands were fans of the monkees says something as well.
