Have you tried getting a short-hair? I have allergies too but as long as I give them a bath every month and brush them regularly, the doctor says I should be fine. And I have been!

Try it! I know it's a gamble because you would go through all that trouble, hoping the kitten doesn't turn into a long hair, then when it doesn't, if you have problems you'd have to give it away. Might be best to keep a good alternate home in mind. I have a long-hair too but I bathe her every month and brush every week with no problems. Guess it all depends on how bad your allergies are. :o

This might sound kind of off, but how come the cat's tongue is rough? When I was a kid, the family cats would scratch my face with it. With it having that roughness, does that somehow make the cat's tongue cleaner hence they usually don't smell like shit like how a dog's breath might?

Thanks, WhyteGrrrl!. Lizzie is a Cornish Rex and she is a low allergenic breed. The wavy fur is caused by a mutant gene. They are a very active and talkative breed. Winston obviously is a British Shorthair, all he does is eat and sleep!.:p

The cats got a bit bigger when they had been spayed. I hear that's normal. Out of our three only Onion is a bit chubby. Marmy is lean but fluffs himself up when he gets comfy. His head looks big then. Treacle is tiny.

As far as fat cats go, it shouldn't matter all that much. True, the females tend to get larger, especially if they are spayed early, but it's just more of them to love :)
