Dude...Bro....lemme tell you something: If it comes between your woman and the Fooligans, the choice should be easy. Hell, i'd rather take this chick out than to go to another one of their shows:

Whether I already have or not is besides the point ;)

Yikes! That's saying something. But i don't know your tastes and some people... well... are just into it. Although I can't imagine Jim Rome rollin with the Michelin woman. :D
I've seen the hooligans before but that was way back in 97 at the Smiths Convention.
We shall see though. This thing won't sell out if I just show up at the door, right? Since moving here last year I've noticed Boston music fans can be unpredictable in terms of bands they support.

I don't know how well you're doing Pete. But you can't go wrong with pleasing your woman ;)
If it was Moz she didn't want to go to...I could probably see that. But this should be no contest.

No, it has no chance of selling out.
I was able to get into Lez Zeppelin at the Middle East on a walk up and there are way more people interested in a Zep tribute than a Moz/Smiths one.
I think the problem with Boston crowds is they are really jaded because there are so many people that want to be musicians or want to get gigs and it just doesn't happen so they hold it against the people who do get on stage. I think you also get a lot of Berklee people that only like bands who do everything according to hundreds of years of music theory. Anyone who plays more on feel are considered hacks.

I went. It was actually really good.
The band had a lot of energy, the songs sounded very good.
More Smiths than solo stuff.
The set was mostly singles. I'm drawing a huge blank on a lot of the songs but they did play You Have Killed Me, First of the Gang To Die, How Soon Is Now, Bigmouth, There is a Light.
Oh, Vicar in a Tutu was really good.
They also played Ask also Hairdresser on Fire.
Sorry I'm drawing such a blank.
I would see them again for sure.

So, by your comments, it sounds like you weren't looking too bored there afterall! :D
Since you went, bored, curious about the demographics for the SATH? Is it a broad mix of people, or do they appeal more to Latinos? I know it may be different for Boston vs. LA, but I was interested in this aspect of their appeal.
How crowded did it end up being there for that SATH performance?
Also, I am sure you all saw the glowing review posted in another thread:

(Well written and entertaining review article. It really does make me want to see SATH if I ever get the chance.)
