His influence on Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall, The Man Who Sold The World and Alladin Sane were absolutely integral in making them as genius as they still are and probably the reason Diamond Dogs is a bit shit.

I reckon Diamond Dogs is just as good as Aladdin Sane and Ziggy, some great Orwell inspired lyrics and of course Rebel Rebel!
That doesn't take away from the fact that Mick Ronson gave Bowie the best years of his career and also gave Moz rare treat by giving him an album with fantastic production.
