I can't say that I'm suprised that the English media have focused and attacked Morrissey once again. Yet to make a documentary on The Smiths and focus on he troubles seems such a tragic waste. We don't need another sycophantic fanzine wearing rose tinted glasses, just some balance.

The part that will stay with me followed the section on Morrissey sacking anyone who got close to Johnny. Johnny reffering to him as So and So, rather than by name. They then showed the still of Morrissey, wearing a red shirt, stood above Johnny with arms wrapped around him. You all know the picture. They then played I Won't Share You, the last song on the last Smiths album. Need I say more ?

That bit affected me too. Whoever was working out what song to play when obviously knew the songs. Another example was near the beginning of the programme, when someone had just mentioned The Smiths forming. They showed a still of the band, accompanied by "good times for a change...."
