> Donnie Baseball deserves to be in the HOF!
Hello my lovely thong wearing dear. Yes, Donnie baseball's "omission" to the HOF has always left me scratching my head as well. It's just too bad most of the f***ing useless "writers" who vote, have no f***ing clue as to what they're doing. This has been the case for some time though. You can't compare his(or anyone else who played in the '80s/early '90s) stats to those of modern day, there's a huge difference.
Jim Rice, Donnie Baseball, Goose Gossage,Alan Trammell,Steve Garvey,Andre Dawson, etc. all played in times when they were extremely important to their teams successes. Not sazying that's not the way now, but their stats match up better to players in their era's and before, MUCH better than those of todays. When i was growing up, following the game much more closely, the players i mentioned WERE the stars then, you had to be like them to play in the league.
