This is more for the UK fans but does Morrissey have like a chant in England? Does it sound like the Bolton Wanderers Football Club’s “Wanderers-wanderers-wanderers…wanderers-wanderers-WANDERERS..etc. I hope people know what I’m asking about

I sent a version of the chant from a live show, I think Green Energy 2004.

Would that be to the tune of Sousa's "Stars and Stripes forever"?

Johnny Morrissey

Grim
City nearly signed a bloke from Tranmere called Johnny Morrissey in the mid 90's when in the old 2nd division (his dad played for Everton).
Tranny put the price up to £300,000 coz we were asking and they were told where to go.
2 months later he went to Stockport County for 20,000!
My big chance to get Morrissey on the old shirt had vanished.

On the subject of Bolton songs i prefer this one to the tune of Chichory Tip's 'Son Of My Father'

Oh wanky wanky, wanky wanky wanky wanky Wanderers!

Re: Johnny Morrissey

did we now, sheesh how time flies, mind you what would be the chance of getting any of the Smiths namesakes playing for us, I can't think of any players past or present, besides Morrissey! What about you Malc, can you think of any?

hee-hee aye that old chestnut still rings round the terraces.

as in the shoemaker!
Only Morrrissey could get those spine-tingling chants like that going, and only in the UK. We don't have those kind of die-hard footy fans over here in America.

Re: Johnny Morrissey

the only reason i know anything about Bolton is because i was following Jared Borgetti (who has not done much because they don't play him) but like i use them (the Wanderers) when i PLAY FIFA 2006 for PS2..so that is how i heard the Chant..they never show Premier games here unless you pay like 10 pounds for a pay-per-view
oh if anyone wants to play me online my name is
FOOTYMOZ

thanks once again.

If you're a Cox (or similar SoCal cable) subscriber you should have the FSC (Fox Soccer Channel) They televise them regularly. Regarding the chant, In our household we have FIFA 2005. Will have to investigate as I didn't know where this chant was being played/broadcast. Thanks!

Re: Johnny Morrissey

yes S.I. but you know I wouldn't be seen dead in a RED Smiths shirt would I!!!
See you later, after Corrie (on the other side - wink wink)
