Just saw Brokeback Mountain

> And it is beautiful. I'd advise everyone to go see it.
Went to see it on Thursday and not in a long time has one film had such a lasting impression on me as this one- the scene with the finding of the shirts made my heart leap into my throat- what a fantastic film....

interesting..? i walked out after about 45 min of torture. I found Jake Gyllenhal to be totally unconvincing in the role. I was quite disappointed. However it was funny as hell as i left becuase the theatre was packed and as me and my girlfriend walked out the entire place shot us a look like we were 'homophobic' for leaving during a sex scene. anyway thats new york city for ya'
yee haw

Yeah, it seems to be a film that is dividing my friends- some think that it is a really moving piece of cinema, others just thought it was ok or boring....
It just keeps creeping into my thoughts throughout the day and that way I know that it must of been powerful.
I love when film, music etc. has this reaction on an audience.

I went to Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic instead.

I know exactly what you mean. I keep thinking about the last few scenes with Ennis and Jack's shirt. So bloody heartbreaking.

"I SWEAR I WILL..." my heart is pounding- will he return to Jack's parents to get the ashes and carry out Jacks last wish? It's so open-ended and that reminds me of My Own Private Idaho- have you seen that film? It's a more artsy version of Brokeback....

Movie of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, how many films would dare show a man asleep so lovingly beside a sheep like that?

That was really hot how he took off after that horse. It gave me a willy!

Thanks for ruining it for those who haven't seen it!

my brother gave me the sixth sense for my birthday once and said "bruce willis is a ghost", nice eh.

Re: Thanks for ruining it for those who haven't seen it!

Hey guys, I'm really so very sorry for mentioning plot details etc.
I hate it when people do that, but I just got caught up in the discussion and didn't think what I was actually writing- I've emailed David to ask him to remove my posts so that no one can read anything else...
Again sorry, but the film has just eaten me up and refuses to spit me out, didn't mean to spoil the film- just really got into the whole discussion experience.
Yours, Sorry Steven x
