I have been using this website now for about six years, it occurred to me
last night. Because I remember my son was only four years old when I began
to use it on a very small Apple Mac computer at the Community Centre
near where I used to live when I was married.
My username then was Maree , changed later to Boy Racer and now
Mauve21, which has been for the last two years.
My comments, poems, etc; although often unnoticed I have enjoyed
posting them. Even though often criticised for everything I say, I enjoy
contributing.
It's better to say what you feel than let it eat you up on the inside.
I am well aware of the lies and half truths and accusations made
in the name of nastiness.
Being a Morrissey fan holds no glamour
at all for me in the place where I live. In fact I know no other Morrissey
fans here.
I understand that the truth is something a lot of people find very hard to take.
It is a sad fact in this world that the emotionally raw and wounded
will always be suppressed by the other stronger more adaptable people.
All of us, at one time or another, in here at Morrissey-Solo have
been subject to the anathema bestowed from others,
who would have us believe that there is some kind of hierarchy in being
a Morrissey fan.
Who am I to say who the King and Queen of Morrissey fandom is?
And what does it matter anyway?
Isn't that what Morrissey is about? Protest at elitism. Abhorring
injustice.
Or am I misguided........

Love you babe! I have only ever posted a couple of times myself but we Australians must take care of our own

Hi Mauve,

In my opinion, the hierarchy of fans is mostly a figment of the imaginations of a few delusional people. What do I know though? I am despised by many of these people.*sobbing* ;-)It is true that there really is a lot of random hatred here at "solow".

Still, I like this site because I get a lot of information here and you can tell that a lot of people here do have some clue of what Morrissey is about. Anyone who can relate to his music must have some good qualities. It was interesting to read your opinion.

Thanks Andrew and Pie for being civil to me.
I appreciate the support in what feels like a drought
of inspirational witticisms in here at present.
Awww, it's just the post Christmas blues.
