Has anyone asked Boz how he got his nickname? I know that Charles Dickens used the pseudonym "Boz" to write newspaper articles and James Boswell, a biorapher of Samuel Johnson, was also referred to as "Boz". I guess it's a rockabilly thang though.

I just assumed it was summat to do with his surname tbh? I'd never given it any thought prior to your post T.

Its something to do with him being at school, 10 yrs old and sarnies

(I read it on his website under Q and As a while ago, methinks.)

yes your right here is the question and answer taken from his site

How did your nickname Boz come about? And who, if not yourself, gave you such a moniker?

"Nick Cregor at school when I was 10 , if I had any sandwiches left in
my lunch box the vultures would pounce and he made the name up whilst
trying to liberate a cheese roll out of my lunchbox. It was actually bozzy boy but it quickly got abrieviated to Bozzy, then Boz"
