Here Come The Tears was, for me, the best of 2005. I also got to see them live which was my highlight of 2005.

This year I discovered a lot of music that had passed me by in the past, but being specific about new music, I would have to say The Milk-Eyed Mender by Joanna Newsom - wonderful. I also enjoyed The Magic Numbers.

Hmm...I don't think many of the CDs I got this year were actually 2005 releases. I'm still catching up with 2000-2004. I'll say Regina Spektor "Soviet Kitsch."
Also, recently saw The Spunks and I like their new CD, "Born to be Mild."
Um...I liked Cobra Verde's "Copycat Killers" album of covers, but since it's all covers I'm not sure it counts. Astonishing version of Donna Summers' "I Feel Love."
Been playing BR549's "Tangled in the Pines" alot, but that's probably 2004.....
Ah fuck it.
I spend most of my music dollars on the greats of old. It's hard to motivated into buying CDs by the idiots of today when there's such riches to be explored from the past. Most recently I've dug into the oevres of Gene Vincent, The Merle Haggard, and The Ohio Players.

What happened to the post from last night that you made regarding the simiarity between the fake freeyourself's IP and that of Andrea?
I replied to it but I can't find it now. Have some other posts gone too?
Who does this and why?

Luke Haines is Dead is a great record, too, but as a compilation I don't think it applies.

I'm assuming the series was off-topic or otherwise subversive of a thread the moderator cared about. Either that, or objection was taken to a user being disparaged by name in the subject line(s).
