About the same as other cities in the world. Don't believe all the stuff in the press. Get out and go to the North !!! Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds are great cities.

Yeah I'm from Leeds - just might have to go study in Salford and keep hearing negative comments about the place.

Come on, it's not that bad if you have a good getaway driver.

I quick little story regarding my trip to Salford.

Went to the triumphant birthday-return-to-Manchester show that Moz did. The next day I went to do the typical pic in front the the Lads Club. Well, just as I was to have the pic taken, some local kids come 'round on their bikes. They are all playing dumb and purposely standing in the way so as to interfere with the pic. Instead of telling them to piss off, I tell them to get in the picture (what better than to have a pic in front of the club with the local street urchins?!?! So, one of them is like "hold on"... he is carrying a little carrying bag that he is getting something out of. He slips his hands into some black leather gloves taken from the bag and then removes a fscking beating stick about a foot or so long!!! It was too funny (but sad as well). Freakin kids are rolling through Salford on their bikes with gloves and clubs. I'm not ignorant enough to think it was just for show, either. I was willing to bet there was a smash and grab in someone's near future. Anyway... I'll always remember that about Salford. Take it for what it is ;-)
