OK i will ask the most stupid question....EVER What is the best MOZ
song? i think i have narrowed down my choice to 5 :every day is like sunday, last of the famous, national front disco and now for the weird choices... southpaw, i find this song deeply moving and even though it is 10mins long i think it passes quickly as i get caught up in it.my last choice is the boy racer a fantastic 4min trash with a fantastic minute or so ending. Let it be stressed that these are in no real order!!!

if you don't want to know which songs are preferred by other moz fans, you don't like to debate, so i don't know what you are doing here.

And you wish to discuss the world economy, I suppose?
Get off your teeter totter and join the shallow but happy world.
I care deeply about my favorite songs. My choice may change according to the mood I am in, but they are precious to me. Don't you dare put down anyone's right to boldly announce their favorites.

It appears as if someone needs a swift kick in the arse, but that's just me thinking...
Isn't there a reform school for self-serving, self-indulgent, obnoxious brats like that?
On the lighter side of things, I just love listening to the song Southpaw over and over again when I have to drive long distances.

You know, I think Southpaw Grammar is a really great album. Maybe some of the songs are a tad too long, but otherwise I enjoy them. I don't know why everyone thinks it sucks so much.

In all honesty, SOUTHPAW GRAMMER is my favorite Moz record thus far. I find it to be interestingly simple as far as lyrics go, and a true epic musical wonder. That song READER MEET AUTHOR was my fav Moz song for years until the b-side LOST was produced into my loving arms. That line from READER MEET AUTHOR "Have you ever escaped from a shipwrecked life?" was what did it for me. Though I agree with the person that said sometimes the songs do get a little long...they're still my favs. So Lisa, you're not alone :-)

Great points, all around. The Operation, minus much of its drum solo and some judicious snipping of the jam at the end would have been a very good single, as would Best Friend on the Payroll. The simplicity of the verses in the latter is astounding. And don't you notice how both Moz and Alain really get into the choruses more and more? That song changed my life, because it is pure passion--both positive and negative, the joy of making music and the bad experience that fueled it. Ditto Reader Meet Author. Right on, for you two to speak up!
Cheers,
Jamie

That was my same thoughts on the OPERATION..less drum solo at the start and a little less crazyness at the finish, and that would have been one hell of a single!!! And when it comes to describing this album VIOLENTLY BEAUTIFUL is the most perfect term I've ever heard...

I also feel that way about "Last Night I Dreamt..." I mean, it's moody and passionate, but you want the song to start, already!

Tripe! "Last Night ..." is perfect. Certainly not be compared with "The Operation" and its filler of a drum solo. Still, the live version of that on Practising Troublemaker cuts it down to size and is all the better for it.

Is that a bootleg of a Southpaw era show? If so (or even not so), is it easy to obtain--that is, easy for a bootleg, who am I kidding?
Does anyone know of any audio boots of the Maladjusted tour? Fate would have it that I went to the second show in Chicago (Mozzer's bout with the old stomach bug) and missed not only Shoplifters, but also Paint a Vulgar Picture, Teachers Are Afraid..., and much more. I'm owed something and I'm hoping to be repaid now! :)
Cheers,

Yes it's sourced from Wembley Arena 11/18/95 (FM radio and
audience) It is really not that difficult of a bootleg to find. You should be able to find it on the net somewhere.¿ Does anyone know of any audio boots of the Maladjusted tour?
There are just so many of them really.
The ones I have are Toronto, Battersea, New York, Gothenburg,
Buffalo, Lowell, Phoenix, Chicago, Boston, Providence,Claremont,
Vancouver,Seattle,Portand,Chester, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Miami, Glen Burnie, and New Brunswick
