Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for any Drummers/Moz fans in the Twin Cities area to join my band. We are not a Smiths or Moz cover band; we are actually more of an ambient pop group along the lines of Projekt, 4AD, etc. If anyone out there is interested drop me a line, I'd love to hear from you.
thanks,
nihk

what the hell is this? Yeah can I join a band that may sound remotely like Lush only to dissolve into obscurity like the New Monkees. Listen you got two options you cookie eating pimple fugg:
1. Do it right, get some dancers and shave your head and have a motto like "U can't touch this" or "2 legit to (eeeyyyooow!) quit!" The world is due for a band like MC HAmmer, aw yeah! Trust me on that one. OR..
2. Which is most probable. Take your damn drumsticks, roland keys and all that other crap. Shove them up your big chunky azz and leap out the freaking window. As you'll land it'll make the coolest sound this side of Kraftwerk. Jump you idiot, and take all those cheap instruments with ya you turkey jerky!

To Greasetea,
Well, you've sure put me in MY place. I normally wouldn't even dignify your rotten comments with a response, however I feel as though I must.
I acknowledge the fact that I may have been a bit out of line posting what amounted to a classified ad on a Morrissey discussion board, however I have been having a great deal of trouble finding a suitable drummer to join my band. I thought that since I am such a big Morrissey fan (but also into projekt, 4AD, and the like) and since Morrissey is coming to the Twin Cities area, I might find a like minded individual with which to talk with and possibly recruit as our new drummer.
It is people like you Greasetea that make the music scene so unbearable sometimes, and furthermore, your comments lead me to believe that you have utterly failed to take to heart the very ideas that make Morrissey such a special and endearing songwriter and lyricist.
I apologise to any of the loyal readers of this message board who may have taken offense in my original posting, but after all this IS a forum for Morrissey fans to come together and discuss issues, and I had simply hoped I might meet an open minded Moz fan who might be interested in playing drums with my band.
Greasetea, you have simply proven that you are a closed minded person with nothing better to do than take pot-shots at people you don't know from the safety of your computer terminal.

Nihk - It's not you, nor your inquiry. I don't have to read that idiot's stupid response to know that he/she IT wrote something ignorant and rude. IT has nothing better to than to post dumb, childish comments. I hope you get real (positive) responses. Good luck!
