Seems like Helen hates to be pampered. Helen's idea of a good date is being kept waiting in the rain @ 40 degrees in January outside a club for an hour only to have her date phone her cell that he'll be an additional hour late. THEN she'll pay the dinner bill, drive him to her place in HER car, lend him a few bucks(and he'll steal an extra $20 from her purse when she uses her bathroom to boot) THEN left hanging as he smokes a cigarette.

Well, gee...I have a better idea. Why don't you find out what sort of CD your girlfriend wants and purchase it? I mean, you made the trip to the store. Just walk about 20 feet away from the cash register (where you were going to watch in boredom as the trainee behind the counter looks for the manager to show them how to write out a gift certificate), look up the required CD, and walk up to the counter and purchase it?

Why go through this effort? Because when you give them the CD, it shows you had been listening to them enough to give them something they want.
