Nice, I believe they created this cover to piss off their record label who was dismembering albums, and making a mish mash of things, especially insofar as early Beatles albums released in The States did not match their UK counterparts.

I believe that is 100% correct, Mr. Ghoul. John and Paul later remarked that it was anti-abortion propaganda, and after further flack from the industry, changed to the more popular album cover.
