What a cool design... especially if you consider the late 50's when it was designed! I remember the first Explorer I ever saw... Rick Derringer was playing one with the Edgar Winter Group back in 19... oh never mind!

Fatal design flaw on the Explorer....bashing the shit out of the "tail section" when quickly turning towards the right. Sammy Hagar played a Dean guitar with the same cumbersome quality....My friend had one just like it. He payed a mint for it, and in my opinion, all he payed for was "to look cool".
Ha-haaaaa! Here it is....an $1100.00 piece of CRAP!!!!

I never was a fan of Dean... the designs were uncreative mixings of Gibson's original material... and they have a cheap feel to the necks.
