LoafingOaf - Leiberman Democrat? NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take the Preisdential Match quiz:

http://www.presidentmatch.com/Main.jsp2?cp=main

To find out who you should vote for!

If you're like me, you may be disturbed by the results.

It told me I should be voting for *gasp* Joe Leiberman. UGH!!!!!!!!!!! But I hate him!!!!!

Hmm.

I think I'm all f***ed up with a quiz like that because I'm for free trade and winning the war on Islamist fascism, and shit like that, but I'm a hard core social liberal. There's really no candidate for me. Although John Edwards ranked second for me, and I think he's a good guy who would be a good prez, even though a bit more socialistic than I am (hey, we'll have a republican congress to keep him in check - it's generally good to have a split and gridlocked government, so it may be wise to favor the democrats taking the White House...I haven't decided yet) (but what's this about Edwards supporting hate crime laws???).

The quiz was definitely right in placing Sharpton and Kucinich in dead last.
f*** those weirdos. Did anyone catch Peter Jennings stick the knife into Sharpton by asking him about the Federal Reserve??? Too funny.

I missed it, what happened? Peter Jennings should have asked why he never paid the judgment against him to the police officers whose careers he ruined in the Tawana Brawley case.
....tears running down my face, im locking myself in my bedroom, I demand a recount.

Kucinich 100%, Kerry 96%

Since Kucinich is unelectable (and kind of a freak), looks like I'm Kerry all the way. Truthfully, I'd take anyone, even another Republican, to get rid of Bush. Worst president this country has ever seen, worst American "leader" the world has ever suffered.

Peter Jennings oh-so gently stuck the knife into the Reverand by simply asking him who he'd appoint to the Federal Reserve.

The Reverand's ignorant, clueless reply:

"Oh, in the Federal Reserve Board, I would be looking for someone that would set standards in this country, in terms of our banking, our -- in how government regulates the Federal Reserve as we see it under Greenspan, that we would not be protecting the big businesses; we would not be protecting banking interests in a way that would not, in my judgment, lead toward mass employment, mass development and mass production."

But democrats have to pretend to take Al seriously because, well...you know why.......

That's part of the problme with the democratic party to me. They have little to offer except being anti-Bush. Would it kill them to come up with some fresh ideas of their own?

It would actually be rather easy.

For example, if you wanna talk about wasteful money contributing to the deficit, how come no democrat has the balls to raise the issue of the war on drugs? The war on drugs has led to a trampling of our civil liberties in some of the exact same ways as the war on terrorism is threatening to, it wastes billions of dollars, it causes more violence in our cities, etc.

Perhaps America isn't ready for a presidential candidate who would take a stand on that issue. But that's just an example. There's lots of ways a real leader could distinguish him/herself in a campaign.

But the democratic party is pretty much a rotting corpse of a party.
So...if they twin the White House, it would only be because enough people dislike Bush, not because people are inspired by, um...John Kerry.....

How can one be inspired by Kerry? He takes every side of issues. He's no leader. All he cares about is John Kerry and his own hunger for political power.

Howard Dean has rightfully pointed out how Kerry has tried to take both sides of the Iraq war, and was on the wrong side of the 1991 Gulf War.

But he also tried to take both sides of the 1991 Gulf War.

Read this and laugh:

Consider this "Notebook" item from TNR's March 25, 1991 issue, which ran under the headline "Same Senator, Same Constituent":

"Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition ... to the early use of military force by the US against Iraq. I share your concerns. On January 11, I voted in favor of a resolution that would have insisted that economic sanctions be given more time to work and against a resolution giving the president the immediate authority to go to war."

--letter from Senator John Kerry to Wallace Carter of Newton Centre, Massachusetts, dated January 22 [1991]

"Thank you very much for contacting me to express your support for the actions of President Bush in response to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. From the outset of the invasion, I have strongly and unequivocally supported President Bush's response to the crisis and the policy goals he has established with our military deployment in the Persian Gulf."

--Senator Kerry to Wallace Carter, January 31 [1991]

As someone who has grown up in Cleveland and been exposed to him my whole life, it's curious indeed to me how he's being taken seriosuly by some people (lets not exargerrate it - he represents 1% of America).

But I think they might be disturbed if they knew more about him.

For example, in one local election compaign, Dennis is infamous for having leafletted an all0white suburb known for its racial intolerance with warnings that his opponant favored a Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday. Truly despicable racial baiting; something you'd expect from a Trent Lott, not an ultra-extremist-leftist. Now, I don't believe Dennis is a racist. What I believe is, he cares very much about having power and will do very cynical things to get that.

But mostly what I dislike about people such as Dennis is that they turn to people who know nothing about economics for their guidance and, as a result, would not only wreck out own economy, but would also doom developing countries. The problem with free trade is not that it's free trade, it's that America talks out of both sides of its mouth, and puts portectionism on the textiles and agruculture industries, the two very industries in which poor, developing countries can actually compete. People need to veer away from the John Pilger's in their local library, and head towards actual *gasp* economists. Then maybe this anti-globlization trendiness could be nipped in the bud and people would get a clue.

But that's just my opinion.

Loafing Oaf-political analysis

Thanks for the New Republic expose info on Kerry's war/antiwar popular turnaround stances, Loafing oaf..

I would have been for Dean-Clarke inspite CNN automated pick-a-prez. I knew Kerry was bad news. He belonged to Yale's Skull n'Bones society - 60 Minutes.

Luckily, I am not American so I can forgive such trepasses.Anyone please oust the Liar.I think he needs Stand-up guy as "Southern Ticket"- unless you know anythong unkosher about Edwards. John Ritter lookalike.
Also, Village Voice this week mentions that SHarpton 's campaign is financed by Republicans.Strange Bedfellows indeed.

so that's why america has lost millions of manufacturing jobs in just a couple of years! if only we went MORE towards openng plants in India and paying their workers a fraction of what you'd pay an american, we would not have this problem!

you said once that you were in law school, right? well, i'm sure your waiting job is in no danger of being outsourced to a child in Taiwan, so that's why you really don't care. matter of fact, all you need to do is strap on a few neck braces to people doing the slip and fall routine and you'll be raking it in.
