Has anyone heard their cd ?

Saw them on Later with Jools Holland the other night and thought they were pretty good . Is it worth buying ?

Apparently so.. Had some of their stuff earlier in the year which was pretty good. Don't know if an albums worth would set my world alight though. 'Remember Me' had a good video if you get the chance!

The album's a bit schizophrenic. The first 3 or 4 tracks are reminscent of The Coral to me, short and angular tracks. But then they get to what they do best, which is epic indie guitar rock, reminiscent to me of things like Echo and the Bunnymen. The track "Carrion" is majestic.

I tried to like it but it just seemed too derivative for my tastes. We are all waiting for the next great anglo-indie band but this is not them. Not yet anyways.

Yes - The Decline Of British Sea Power is a fantastic record, the best of last year. I won't bother trying to describe them. Its the best debut I've heard in years.

They are a good band but it is probably the worst band name I have heard in many a year. Picture the scene :-
