I've been trying to find out the name of the song by The Smiths that is in The Craft and Cruel Intentions movie trailers. The song is nowhere to be found in the soundtracks.
Thanx.

There's an almost hip-hop version of 'How soon is now?' in The Craft trailer. Not sure about the Crel Intentions trailer as I've never seen it.

Hello?!?! Of course it's "How Soon is Now?" Only their most "popular" song...jeez! The one in "The Craft" is a cover by Love Sppit Love (Richard Butler of Psychedlic Furs) and is most definitely ON the soundtrack. I think the other movie uses the same version...not sure, though. That show "Charmed" uses this version, as well.¿ There's an almost hip-hop version of 'How soon is now?' in The¿ Craft trailer. Not sure about the Crel Intentions trailer as¿ I've never seen it.

because love spit love are SOOOOOO hip and popular...who knows, poor richard butler sells fewer records than morrissey, so that's not really a good reason.
maybe they felt sorrier for him...¿ how come they just don't use the smiths version.....it really is¿ better and I not just saying that cuase I am a fan

once again it is the most 'popular' song by the Smiths, "How soon is now" by Love Spit Love. I guess it's a testament to the pervasive popularity of the Smiths that it keeps being redone...not that I care for this version.

No one should care. It sucks.

It IS better. Richard Butler is just an underdog in comparison to Moz, and he thinks he can attain props by kissing up to the better man. Hollywood refuses to use the original because their industry sucks. Soundtracks are selling more than their movies. They figure they should be hip to the kids and get some MTV band to cover HSIN.
