"We've been on the tour for 3 months now, and every night Julia has been in the front row and we think that's remarkable. So If you can find it in your heart to give her a cheer." (to which the audience replied by doing the Morrissey football chant but saying Julia's name.)

Whatever you say about her, Julia really has some stamina to be able to put herself through all that hassle time after time after time. Why doesn't anyone say anything nice about her - are you all jealous ? She sounds a great girl to me.

julia owes me back issues of true to you. i paid her 15 bucks & it was a no go. me & clit lover waited and waited. hope she had a great time on tour w my 15 bucks.

All I hear all day long is how great Julia is at this and how wonderful Julia is at that...

I'd say Julia needs to find other hobbies. Following Morrissey around the country to every show...that's a bit ridiculous. Sort of sounds like something an OBSESSED STALKER would do. Kind-hearted or not, she needs to get a life.

Discussions of Julia Strictly Limited to Times of Moz Touring ONLY. Thank You.

Seashell Eyes

I met her at the Craig Kilborn taping and Morrissey said to her right before the cameras started rolling "I'm nervous Julia"... he seems comfortable having her around... The next night she happened to have tix directly next to us: 2nd row center @ the Anahaeim Pond. She tried to move up to the empty front row seat (some VIP Jaguares fans had not arrived yet) but security wouldn't let her. I felt bad for her as she looks about 5 feet tall and about 75 pounds and the security had to keep physically restraining her as she was DETERMINED to be in the very front... sad to watch...

She did seem nice, otherwise.

Julia is not the only person to do this.
She is just the only person to do this year after year.
Before there was Morrissey-Solo there was a fanzine called
Sing Your Life which was created by David Tseng and Russ Sekatz (I
am pretty sure I butchered Russ' last name there). They followed
Morrissey to every show in 1992.

The girls from morrisseytour.com have also done quite a bit of following.
The did much more on the Oye tour than they did on this last one but they
did it.

I flew to Ireland to see the Oye tour and ended up in the front row
every night with a group of about 12 Americans who were also going
to numerous shows.

I've repeatedly defended Julia on this board and thought that a lot
of people have sour grapes about her and are jealous.

To the person who said he paid $15 for fanzines that didn't arrive, I
have to say that you are the first person to make a legitimate complaint.

People say she cuts in line and stuff like that but frankly, its just not
true.

Everytime I see Julia in front of the line, I ask her, "Hey, what time
did you get here?" "About 4AM." Does she probably work out deals with people
where she lets them come up front and then they do the same for her another
day where they get there first? I have no doubt but getting front row is
something you need to rely on other people for sometimes. Its give and take.

Now, I can only enjoy so many days of sitting out and waiting and getting
front row. My limit on shows is about 5 to 7 on one tour unless the tour
cycles back with a few month gap between dates.

So Julia has a completely different threshold for these things and while
I'm not sure its healthy, it her choice.

Re: All I hear all day long... My 3 Magazines

It's true. I sent her $15. & never received my 3 'zines. And that's not jealousy. If she wants to go crazy and stalk Morrissey, that's her thing. But all I know is I sent her $15. and she flew off with it. (a lot of money back then to me, since I was a student). I wrote to her Brookline address twice, and figured she had died. Then I found out she was touring galore.

From mtour.com:

I also witnessed the most egregious example of queue jumping at the taping. I hope this particular person who seems to have carte blanche for being in the front of EVERY Morrissey show can sleep at night knowing that a guy who flew from Peru didn't get in line specifically because this she cut. Ugh. Disgusting. But more bitchy chit-chat later.

Has she done any issues since #14, detailing Ireland and the UK way back in 1999? What does your subscription get you? A kick in the balls?

Re: The devil got a first-class upgrade with your $15

Well it's in the same vein of Morrissey as he is lately. I guess they were all winky-winky, 'cause they like to steal other people's money.

Re: All I hear all day long is how great Julia is at this and how wonderful Julia is at that...

Personally i'll prefer folowing Morrissey around the world than working in a factory

Julisa is a very nice lady...from what the PIMP's been told. f*** you if you have a problem with my girl julia. I happen to think her fanzine is the baddest. Julia, you are a sweet lady.I wish you well.

But I'm Still Fond of Her

I'm not trying to bag on her, I saw both sides:

1) Julia just wanted to get a seat closer to Moz. Really badly.

2) Security was just doing there job. If they let people just change seats as they felt like it then the 20,000 reserved seats would be in chaos. Plus- those were VERY expensive VIP seats.

It was awkward seeing that but hey anyways the show was a BLAST!!

I've no problem with Julia. But this post sounds like someone that could even be her saying 'why doesn't anyone like me'! Unless i've missed an earlier slur! So Julia, if this is you posing. Relax girl. Don't worry waht people think of who you are and waht you do. You're really a very small cog in the world of Moz. Unless you get to play second guitar on the next tour of course. And would I follow Morrissey all over the place when its obvious he's not intersted in you? Well, of course not. Absolutel madness, theres an exciting world to be living, coupled with the crucial fact that money and time means it would be impossible.

Why did I even bother writing this really.

Ruffian - I don't know and it was also probably best if you had not done so because I posted the original comment above. And I am not Julia !

I see what people are saying. But still I believe she must have amazing strength and character - she may appear to be mad as a hatter (or a hammer?) to you all - but for me she sounds like a person who has a lot of strength to be able to do this, and to be there. I started thinking....if only I could have someone like that in my life, if only for a moment.

Leave the poor woman alone. Please. She harms no one and Morrissey and his music have helped her through a lot of bad times.

Well said. You're a kind thoughtful person for even caring! You'll have many people like that around you in your life. Still, there are more interesting things to do without drowning in a pool obsession. There's healthy admiration and respect and then there's a stalking mentality. Nothing against Julia, I know her not, but it's a fairly clear line for me. And I know which side i stand on. Then again, I do have a crush on local girl Kate Lawler. Does that make me a menace?

erm, she must really have some serious MONEY to be on the front row for a whole tour. And no job.
