rem compared to morrissey? have you lost all sensibility? i do consider these two to be incomparable. as to the same style or shall we say genre of music i may say that may fit, but it is a tight squeeze. for me, morrissey stands far alone and apart from the herd and i earnestly pray that he remains there. i like the fringes, the outskirts, it affords a better vantage point and allows for immediate (if at all necessary) disassociation. please do not uproot the gladiolas and plant them with the potatoes. farewell.........

As far as being of special interest only to the college rock crowd until the early 90's, yes, they are the same.

Plus, you deciding that Morrissey is apart from the herd is really your own wish to categorize him that way. Doen't make it law. To many people out there, he is lumped with the likes of Robert Smith because they belong to the genre of "whiney British men". Very crude, but it's the truth. Plus, I think it is rude for you to basically start getting on my case in the way that you have. I cherish my CD's as much as anyone, but let's be reasonable about it. You telling me that I have lost my mind doesn't mean yours is any more stable.....
