erm, is this some sort of big West coast festival? Its a bit of a shite line up isn't it?
What are American festivals like? Are they anywhere near as good as UK festivals?

YES
Its a bit of a shite line up isn't it?
A tad, they should have gotten Radiohead as well.
> What are American festivals like?
Like any other one Einstein.
> Are they anywhere near as good as UK festivals?
About the same, but at least when we scream for the bands we don't stink up the place with our breath.

in Britain we don't "scream" for the bands, we're not all that sad. Do you scream when you go and watch N-Sync and Britney? Awww...how cute.

Bringing up Britney is so last year. She's no longer popular, where have you been?
david

is it full of advertising?
are drugs plentiful?
are fires plentiful?
what's the atmosphere like? (relaxed or what?)
if anyone has been to Coachella and Glastonbury, which one's better?
only a two day festival? weak!

Being that I haven't seen those teeny-boppers in concert (thank the devil), I wouldn't know. But judging from the Eminem All Access Europe DVD, you guys scream as hard or harder than we do.

I am so sad because some anonymous twit on a message board does not like me....If you really have some sorta problem with me, then why don't you give me an e-mail so we can straighten it all out. Where do these people come from?

Hmmm, I'll try it in the next gig I go to. God help the poor people standing in front of me.

Yes, we smart Americans always have connections to get drugs in festivals. I remember I saw Morrissey do a line at the '99 Coachella before he went on stage.
> are fires plentiful?
NO
> what's the atmosphere like? (relaxed or what?)
Very relaxed, except under the DJ tents where almost everyone in on 'E'
> if anyone has been to Coachella and Glastonbury, which one's better?
Coachella
> only a two day festival? weak!
We don't like long boring 5-Day festivals, we have lives!

In my experience, they come from Chester and Llangollen. But that will mean nothing to you.

i agree with your list for the most part, but i'd add rhcp and the beastie boys, if only for nostalgic purposes. i'd add primal scream and underworld because i love their mid nineties stuff. i'd add the donnas because i want to see how ugly the skanks are in person without all their mtv makeup and lighting (how did they go from dog ugly to "major hotties" overnight?). and i'd add gomez because a friend swears they're great. i'd also add the libertines to that list of yours because i've heard good things about them.

hmmm can't imagine why needles would be disliked. I met him on the 2002 tour and he's a cool guy......and a Handsome Devil.

Primal Scream and Gomez are the cream of that crop.

Or is that just another nasty rumour?
Tortoise, Cat Power, Primal Scream, Kraftwerk, Beasties, Gomez - dammit why don't Oz festivals attract a lineup like that?
Don't answer that.
But memo to The Donnas:
GET OFF THE STAGE!!!!!
You talentless trollops!

And are there no other Tortoise fans out there?????????
The Donnas are artless morons. You answered your own query - the transformation is a product of the makeover, why subject yourself to their 3 chord pap just to prove what's already obvious?

"40 Boys In 40 Nights" is indeed utter pap. But Gomez are pretentious art-school arsewipes!
