"Alma matters in mind, body and soul"...perhaps, if I knew what the hell an alma was!?! Is it as in an Egyptian dancing girl?
I don't really care about my alma mater, but should I be concerned with my alma mattering?

but if you really must know,
its an old english term regarding schools and education,
eg:
''by god jeeves i was down the old alma mater yesterday evening and youll never guess who i bumped into behind a bush...''
you see?

I'm aware of "alma mater", but the song is "alma matters". See the difference? 2 T's, as in my Audi. The only thing that I know of being an alma is an Egyptian dancing girl. Who the hell is she and why does she matter?

its some kind clumsy psuedo-erotic schoolboy fantasy,

im sure they help him sleep.
what about pillow?
pillows dead!
there is no pillow,
i will not speak of it.
there never was or is any pillow around these parts son,
you button that lip.
the only thing left...
is some rather tedious alter egos that float around at 3.00 in the morning.

Whole-heartedly with you on that one.
And who amongst us has not at some point been gripped by the desire to shout "It's my life to wreck my own way" at passing strangers? In a totally passive and respectful manner, of course. The other day a well-dressed gentleman came up to me and said "Life is short", then just kept walking.
There's not enough of that in the world.
Hmmmmm, I think I've digressed . . .
Great song, but.
