Moz and band walk off in Warsaw

"Fess up whoever it was. Fess up and Morrissey will come back. Fess up and get the f*** out"

Was that said by Boz? It's not clear to me from the tweets.

Damn.

Crikey. I expect a rash of criticism will be impending for him.

If he was being abused and didn't feel safe - he's right to walk.

Agreed. (On both counts.) If Boz felt the need to come out and say something, clearly whatever was said was abusive. I don't know how someone like Morrissey could continue to perform (sorry Morrissey, I know you're not a seal) in the way that he does after being heckled.

Oh dear... :( I hope everything is okay...

OH...just read what Boz (?) said...It's pretty bad, then. Yikes.

Seems bad if Boz got enraged...

I believe he also got irate at the "Morrissey doused by pint" gig back in 2009(?). It brings to mind Cleveland '97 where some bright spark held up a posterboard reading "Joyce 1 - Morrissey 0" and Alain shouted "thanks a lot - you've ruined the gig!!"

The Hammerstein walk-off from 1997 always makes me laugh..with Boz also pointing with Moz in unison at security

He came back out after, though, didn't he?

Also, I can't believe that was 17 years ago. I should probably start taking Geritol.

Ugly man Ugly Man!!! A friend who used to post on Solo was getting crushed by security and Morrissey saw it and stopped the show..

I couldn't tell what was happening (other than it involving security) before the show stopped, but Morrissey was genuinely furious.

I remember a similar thing happening at one of the Radio City shows in 2004, too. Oh, here, I found it on PJLM...there were security incidents both nights. It's second night I was thinking of, though.

Besides the usual lyrics changes in "Now My Heart Is Full" Morrissey also sang "just some rain-coated lovers Everly brothers". Further in the song a fan was roughly tackled by security and seeing this Morrissey sarcastically shouted between two lines "No happiness at Radio City!". Then another fan was successful and Morrissey shouted "Oh my God!" in an excited little girl's voice. He actually adlibbed in that voice almost until the end. Then after the song he sarcastically added "Now don't forget Bob Hope walked on this stage, it's very hallowed ground so, no smiling, no happiness, no touching!... (roars) This is Radio City!"

During the encore itself, knowing that the end of the show was approaching, there were a few more attempts by fans to get on stage. Seeing one of those fans being manhandled by security Morrissey stopped singing and shouted "Oh, good God! Sir? Sir? (pointing at the action) Oh shit, absolute shit! (to the fan) Thanks for trying, may God bless you, thanks for trying... (to whole audience) Jesus!... Watch for security, they got machine guns..." Morrissey looked visibly upset and completely lost the thread of the song so he just said "Goodbye thank you... A big boo for security! Boo!" then let himself be escorted off stage by one of his own security men.

I have the video from the 2004 Radio City show when that happens and its pretty hilarious cause the one kid gets on stage and Morrissey just looks at him and shrugs his shoulders..
