The Morrissey Smiths Disco began in 1994 when it's DJ and promoter visited Smile at the Star and Garter and saw the reaction when Panic by The Smiths was played. 19 years on and the Smiths Night or Moz Disco (whichever you prefer) really is world famous. Visitors to the night have included tourists and backpackers from Sacramento, Perth, Tokyo, Mexico City, New York, most of Scandinavia and, of course, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Famous fans of Moz have been known to visit - stars of Coronation Street and Neighbours or professional Hollywood whingers like Chloe Sevigny have all professed a love of Manchester's greatest event at the Star and Garter celebrating Manchester's greatest export.
Just get in early or you might miss your favourite tune.
