The very thought of Moz playing in my dingy little hometown of WF sends shivers down my spine, though my 16 year old inner teen is thrilled to tears. I'm curious to see how long before it gets yanked like the El Paso date.

Even the "rumored" dates don't include the East. :lbf:
But hopefully there will be some.

It's kind of ironic that a large number of detractors and negative talk about Morrissey on this forum comes from New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Ohio( to name a few). Is it possible that Morrissey knows this and is punishing the East Coast for its sins? Personally, I think the East Coast is full of a bunch of pricks, but that's my personal opinion. MORRISSEY KNOWS. Lol.

so in looking at what has been posted/rumored thus far, he is either going to start in the East in mid-October hitting Salt Lake City by Nov 4, or hit the East in December, or skip over the East entirely.
My guess is Opinion 1. Boston/NYC/Philly/DC/etc. mid/late October moving westward towards SLC.

he has played these places often and will play them again.

Anyone with any knowledge of Morrissey's tours over the years will know that he has ALWAYS played places off the beaten track. He should be congratulated for it, not subjected to petty moaning because you have to get off your backside and figure out how to get there

While pharr is admittedly terrible, the cities to its west are slightly more well known. Mcallen and mission texas are decently populated. And while not the most interesting cities bands do come and play here. Local venues host between 3500- 7500 people for the more popular shows

hey punk i'll compare the size of my Morrissey weiner against yours anyday. I know plenty of his tours so shut up. I don't call playing in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston "as always played places off the beaten track". Look up the last few tours. stupid.
it makes no sense as he will not have full houses. and i've traveled all around for tours so stfu again with your unknowing comments.

And what holiday would that be? If any of this is true, Wichita Falls is on Nov 28. Thanksgiving is on Nov 22, so it sounds like Nov 28 would be a great day to play Wichita Falls. Pharr is essentially McAllen and Mission TX and has the added benefit of being a border town. It looks like a pretty smart move on Morrissey's part.

I think I just died. This is one of the most intimate, history-laden venues in the country (if you have to ask why, then shame on you). The stage is just a couple feet off the floor. I made a pilgrimage there a few years back.
I must find a way to get to this show.
