Thanks for posting.

Wonder what the phenomenal installation will be......? Hmmmm. Curious...

God bless Mike Joyce.

Why keep Bengali...

maybe because it's one of the best songs on the record?

If any song on the VH remaster had to go, it should have been BUTF, if only for the fact it was remastered and pointlessly included on 2011's Very Best Of

not only on the record, one of HIS best songs. Period.
and I still can't see why people keep thinking Bengali is a racist song, it is not.

I don't get the title - it says ''Mike Joyce on a new Smiths discovery'' but I can't find any reference to a new discovery in the article.

One word springs to mind ~ 'Aldi'

Nevermind Morrissey's on-going deployment of Jesse, if anyone is pissing on the Smiths' 'legacy' it's Joyce.

And do we know who the pouting plank in the Donny Osmond cap is? I know 'Record Collector' is barely more than a glossy fanzine, but photo credits would be nice.

And why are they all in a crate?

Is it just me or does Andy Rourke look increasingly like Eileen Grimshaw? :squiffy:

Break Up the Family is one the best songs on that album!

This is brilliant. The pouting plank is "Vinny Peculiar"! Vinny Peculiar sings melancholy, poetic songs about porn and about the time when he was a 'sperm donor'. The photo is old it was probably taken in 2004 or 2005. It looks like the photo was maybe taken in the 'Salford Lads Club'?

Mike Joyce is really nice. Vinny Peculiar (aka Alan Wilkes) is also really nice.

See this video of Vinny Peculiar singing "Man About the House" live at the 'Salford Lads Club' (with Mike Joyce & Andy Rourke). I think this was back in 2005?

Vinny Peculiar is a nice, pleasant middle-aged man. Vinny sings about many issues. Your right he did sing about how he used to be a sperm donor. I believe he may of also sang about pornography.
Vinny has also worked with 'Craig Gannon'. :guitar:

They look like a bunch of down-and-outs. But I suppose being an ex-Smith still earns them a bit of money here and there.

"Who has impressed you lately? Delphic from Manchester". What?? Delphic were/are a 3rd rate piss-poor New Order copyists. I doubt we'll ever hear from then again.

A "plank" is someone who is stupid, as in "Thick as a plank". But Vinny Peculiar isn't stupid.
This is who "Eileen Grimshaw" is see the video below. The photo of Andy Rourke is old it was taken around 2004 or 2005. Andy Rourke doesn't look like that anymore:

Andy Rourke's father Michael Rourke is married to a woman called Eileen. I guess she is known as Eileen Rourke? Andy Rourke's step-mother. "Come on Eileen!"

"I've heard Morrissey's bringing a book out so i'll hang fire and see what we get out of that"
Typical joyce riding on coat tails without an original thought in his head.
imagine what a work of art his book would be, he can barely string a sentence together. wouldnt take much ghost writing though would it.......agreed a contract, broke a contract, sat on my money grabbing arse.

There's a hundred times more sense in the pages of Record Collector each month, than the freak show that is Morrissey Solo.
