It was a very good start of the tour.

Video clips started around 18:45

A man announced the class is about to begin
Mighty Joe - Shocking Blue
Whole A Lot Of Shaking Going On - Vince Taylor
Edith Sitwell interview
Bubble Gum - Brigitte Bardot
All Over The World - Françoise Hardy
James Baldwin interview
Like A Tiger - Fabian
Never Turn Back On Mother Earth- The Sparks
I'm Looking For A Kiss - NYD
Lypsinka

The backdrop was a new, possibly a scene of a film (a man was lying on a woman on the sofa), unable to identify both of them.

Morrissey and the band were on stage on 19:00.
Morrissey was in a black cardigan with gold lame and denim, Boz in black sequin dress and others were topless with a Chinise character 男(means man in Japanese) written on their chest with denim.
Morrissey said kon'nichiwa (hello) and started singing Everyday Is Like Sendai (hope someone will post a scan of the setlist because it was written as Everyday Is Like Sendai).
After either Everyday is like Sunday or First of the gang to die, Morrissey was trying to say thank you in Japanese (arigato), but what I heard was obrigado.
I got a hand shake during Black Cloud!
The intro of Last Night I Dreamt Somebody Loves Me was different, the audience became quiet which prompted him to say "you don't care, nobody cares" before started singing. It was a surprise and the highlight of the show.

I'll add more later.

Was it something similar to this? ~

taken from Bertolucci's 'Il Conformista' (1970).

which I thought looked very much like Stefania Sandrelli in that scene (the dimpled chin gave it away). And your description of the image makes me think it must be. Good choice, if it is 'Il Conformista'; Bertolucci's best, and a stunning work of cinematography by Vittorio Storaro, especially in the scene used in the backdrop. Also, Dominique Sanda co-starred in the film, which may be the cause of some earlier confusion. It doesn't look like Sanda on the backdrop, far more like Sandrelli to me.

Enjoy the tour :)

Hey Iona, yesterday I was flipping channels and I stopped on a movie for a few minutes where Phillip Seymour Hoffman was playing a man in full drag with a sparkly dress and wig and everything and some thugs were beating him up and Robert Dinero came in and shot at the men then Phillip Seymour Hoffman got away then the thugs chased him into the stairwell and they tumbled down the stairs together while in pursuit (then I changed the channel because I had no idea what was going on and it seemed like a movie I wanted to watch later in it;s entirety.) Anyway, based on what Morrissey said about Boz falling down the stairs drunk and the geisha taking his place, maybe I should start a blog because COULD IT JUST BE A COINCIDENCE?

Sounds like you are describing a film called Flawless. It's not bad.

The thing is the "coincidences" are not even coincidences.

Examples, we said Morrissey would come out wearing pants. He did! Coincidence?

We said Morrissey would put a sign on the drum kit outlining his future plans for world domination. He had a backdrop showing a man and a woman!!! Coincidence?

Ugh, not talking about this any more. The end on the topic from me.

Thank you Joe! I think you're right! I saw the backdrop on twitter and it was'nt so clear and I thought about D. Sanda just for suggestion, I don't remember quite well the movie, but quite better the novel written by Alberto Moravia, one of the most important italian writer and close friend of P. Pasolini. Did Morrissey came on stage to the sound of bells and leave the stage to Klaus Nomi like it was reported in South America?

Yes.

Morrissey changed his shirt at the end of Meat Is Murder, he came back in a lilac shirt with white embroidary.

Then he changed to a red shirt before Let Me Kiss You and threw it to the audience (one of my friends was standing near a lucky person who got it).

He was in a white shirt until the end, appeared on stage in a yellow shirt at encore, threw it to the audience at the end.

At one point a member of the audience asked "is that Boz?"
Morrissey replied "no, it's beautiful geisha called Gaynor. Boz was drinking and fell from the stairs. Sadly he's in serious condition (sic)"

Morrissey handed a mic to Julia and Chris, they thanked him. A Japanese fan(?) said "we all love you, Morrissey".

There was a guy who kept shouting "Morrissey" all the time, in the end Morrissey seemed annoyed with his persistence.

Regarding Action, Scandinavia and People, Morrissey seemed bit of disappointed with the reactions of the audience.

He was in a good spirit and his singing was in top form.

I'm sorry that my memory is bit hazy, hopefully a bootleg will be surfaced somewhere then I could remember more details.

I bet tomorrow's Club Citta Kawasaki will be one of the most memorable nights of this tour.

I'd say, with the re-release of Viva Hate

skip Fatty, and do Angel , or A. cousin

He tours different parts of the world, and they have a great night,
but for the critical follower I find it a bit cheap to just play the same
songs, with some songs changing

I'm f.cking 47..may I have a right for me opinion

I paid for his all his solo albums, so stop moaning about a reunion

Ummmm, not a lot of people get Kewpie all the time (including me) but Kewpie is pretty awesome. So if she's there, it will be extraordinary. Though I'm pretty sure that's not what she was driving at, just that all small venues are cool to see a gig at.

Not really. And in the absence of PJLM, google will have to suffice http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/morrissey/1995/club-citta-kawasaki-japan-43d7d7ab.html

Is it significant because he played there in '95? Why else would it be significant?

For me he is wonder, brilliant. I saw him in Brazil (2000) , I enjoyed a lot, was so good!
In that great show I looked at his eyes all the time, and the second, when he looked at me, I screamed "I love you"!

Sendai was the first time I ever saw Morrissey live.
One of the touching moment of the show was, when he sang "...Let me get what I want Tonight" instead of "...Let me get what I want this time" on "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Wan t ".
I don't know if he's been singing that way in other places, but I think everyone got what they wanted that night, or maybe more.
