...I've got us rolling with Fleetwood Mac's What Makes You Think You're the One, Richard and Linda Thompson's Walking on a Wire and I'll add Dionne Warwick singing Walk On By, The Walker Brothers' song, The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore and The Smiths' Unhappy Birthday (because every list of unhappy songs needs something written by Moz the miserable git). And though there are so many Morrissey/Smiths songs that could be included I think the lyric, "I've come to wish you an unhappy birthday/because you're evil and you lie/and if you should die I may feel slightly sad but I won't cry" qualifies this as one of the shining examples of Morrissey's arrested emotional development.
