Terrible crimes such as this and yet we keep these people in our prisons with tax payers money....why?
Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper if we just deported them back to their country to have them trailed? The country would save money on setting up a court case and paying a further £34,000 a year to keep the sod in jail.
Regarding the story I linked above, we're going to be forking out £680,000 in total to keep this guy "apparently" within prison for 20 years (that's if he doesn't get half his sentance cut, right folks? :thumb:)
Any thoughts or views please....

He should have been shot! If youre going to commit murder,at least make sure theyre dead first before you bury them under a few leaves-just down the road.Plonker.

1) Colonize 1/4 of the world.

Don't they get deported after they pay bail but before being sentenced like in the US?
[the non violent crimes such as no valid dl are usually done that way.]

I would think this might have potentional risks.
such as this case - Issei Sagawa was charged with murdering a girl and eating her to absorb her energy. The French court found him insane and shipped him back to his native Japan. He was then found sane but "evil" however being found insane in France without legal conviction papers meant they could not keep him in prison. Apparently he's a celebrity who does resteraunt reviews now.
EWWWW.

Bring back hanging I say. That will teach them. And bring in a shoot to kill suspected immigrants policy for Daily Mail readers. Could possibly be the answer to defence cuts

The immigration issue is ridiculous. I can't speak for how things are in the UK, but anyone in America who SERIOUSLY believes in the concept of "illegal" immigration and wants to punish and deport the so-called illegals needs to crack open a history book and shut the fuck up.

This was an issue over illegals who did commit crimes.
I can't believe people would want to free a murderer [or attempted] simply because he didn't legally belong there.

My mom told me I was evil since a job requirement is to contact ice before we release inmates born in other countries. It's not that I want to. I have to.
:( If it makes anyone feel better only the violent offenders usually go any more since it's too expensive.
What bugs me is people I work with think Puerto Ricans ought to be deported. Legally they can't. What the....

Hi Davie, you are posting great threads.
That story you quote is ghastly. Killing your girlfriend would be horror enough, but burying her alive!? That relationship is in trouble.
To your question, which is a good one, I have to be a bit wet here and say I'm not sure but I do know that we should not send anyone back if there is a possiblity that they could be subject to ill treatment or a death penalty.

Hello Peter. Thank you for your comments. I see you are no fan of the death penalty! We have a mixed bag here in this forum, I see!
