This past weekend, I witnessed something quite bizarre. I was over at some friends' house and we were goofing off watching "Bill Nye the Science Guy" on tv. The entire show was talking about momentum and how it applied to the world. All of a sudden, I hear a guitar riff that sounded startlingly similar to "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get." Quickly, I swiveled my head around and noticed that the show was playing a mock-musical video entitled promptly, "The Faster You Push Me, The Farther I Go." The artist was comically labeled as "Momentissey." There was even a sorry impressionist imitating Morrissey in the video, with glued on sideburns. It was rather comical, and I must say, it made my day. Suprisingly, the vocals weren't near a miss as I figurede the would be. I suppose Bill Nye is one heckuva guy after all.
