I was just about to post a thread on this -- beat me to it.

After some menial sleuthing (http://tinyurl.com/4bd4xkw), it appears as though Mr. Laffitte is a veteran A&R man of Elektra Entertainment and Capitol Records. It looks as though he's most recently affiliated with Red Light Management, although whether or not this means Morrissey appears under that umbrella is uncertain; he does not yet appear on the website under artist roster for Red Light. Laffitte currently manages The Decemberists, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, and OneRepublic :sick:
