Peter Hogg looks like a right thug

That looks a lot later than 1991. I would have guessed 1994, just judging by Moz' face.
Peter Hogg looks a bit...threatening. Wasn't he the one who used to go out "picking up boys" according to Mozipedia?

I think it looks 1991 ish, he looks just past his look in the late eighties... obviously.

Rent-a-chap! This is only the second ever photo of him other than the one in Morrissey Shot, isn't it? He's like some endangered species that went extinct after the Kill Uncle tour ended (to Amy above, Nevin and Hogg were long gone from camp Morrissey by 1994).

Whend ex-band members such as Gary and Spencer were asked about him, the reaction was not too good. Was it Spencer that said "Sometimes it gets lonely on the road"?

I'd forgotten how much I miss Kirsty before seeing this photo. I can't believe it's already been ten years.

I attended most of the Suede gigs in London around that time, and saw Morrissey in the audience twice, at the Falcon (Feb 91 ?) and Camden Palace (May ?). Not exactly sure of the months, it was a long time ago, but this probably has to be one of these 2 nights. So yes, of course, definitely 91. I even spoke (well, mumbled) to Morrissey at the Camden Palace, one night I will remember all my life !

While searching for the the mysterious Mr. Peter Hogg I stumbled across this facebook account:
http://www.facebook.com/people/Peter-Hogg/562457008
From my point of view Mr. Hogg is the person on the left side hugging an unknown beauty and ain't that good old Paul Rutherford of FGTH fame (Rage hard anybody?) on the right side? There is also a link to "Morrissey-Official". Might be fake but i don't think so.

Hi - yeah I know they were long gone, I was just saying that Moz' face seemed older considering when the photo was taken :). 1994 was..the Jake Era of course.

Please have some respect for Kirtsty, me thinks its
an not ever seen public pic, but with Kirsty made it special

Peter Hogg, wasn't he around 2nd part the Smiths days also, rent-a-chap
is also not very nice, and the more I see why Morrissey doesn;t like
this site, and it's not David T

I dunno Hogg, any of you met him, is he a monster? kick around if went
to near Morrissey, more flaming?

c'mon

give it a rest

and enjoy the picture

The facebook page is probably correct as Hogg was also friends with Paul Rutherford and FGTH.

As for the above complaint about "Rent-a-chap" being nasty - that was actually Morrissey's name for Hogg, taken from a Kenneth Williams Julian and Sandy sketch.

No offense, but other than your point about Kirsty, what are you on about?

"Rent-a-chap" was Morrissey's own credit for Hogg in the Kill Uncle tour book.

I read in a fanzine(jammy stressford or a chance to shine) where someone who is a american event mangager who also did organize the morrissey gigs talks about in an radio interview
where snippets was printed there about"some people who dont have no need to be there on the road beside keeping the artist happy" like in morrissey`s case

It's not 94. Moz wasn't working with Nevin in 94. It's 91 aka Kill Uncle. Not too hard to work out if u think about it for one millisecond :)

FFS try reading and then try looking!

Something you are not too good at, aren't you, because if you would you'd have noticed that the way and order that the information was presented here, did not make it obvious at first that they were not the same person, especially as Mark Nevin and Kirsty MacColl were also on the picture.

but thank you for the typical Morrissey fan arseholeness, which makes a different answer in a different style of course impossible for people like you

but you're not Morrissey

start to dislike every thing Morrissey says about someone, is true and a fact

some, lots are if Morrissey elaborates, but sometimes he names people I don't know, why should I agree, more people should have their own point, or must have
freedom of saying , and not be a sheep of Morrissey's words/saying

I know that, you obnoxious fool.

things are touichy rouind here, is it because no real news, sad about a new DVD with
songs we all know, the cd song 2 b-sides not couinted, so it could reaching the charts,
if it's selling on biggest musicshops and also the friendly neighbourhood musicshop,
not like remastered Bona Drag

[stil have to order it, on amazon it's easy to get, why not a Dutch musicshopholder by
buy-all new releases via label retailer]

well we all somehow agreed Morrissey needed a rest, but against his powers 2 releases on his new label is odd, further this mainpage is like the forum, you get the same sorta
vibe, so don't take things to personal, general comment, ignore or apologise

as i do to King Leer, if I wrote something hurtful or made it personal, my reply, the first line was not nice, the rest was more general comment

people make typoos, I do the most, so 94 could have been a typo 91

go to the forum named of-topic or the Pigsty and you can bitch as imuch as you can

btw this is not to you amy

hoping for some news about recording in autums , or something.

and the new DVD, you have the choice buy it, or not, wether Morrissey says not, if
you think it makes your coillection complete, buy it, like it, buy it
dislike it, dont.

this post is posted with a cup a cup@soup, mhhh:crazy:

Are you stupid or what? Peter Hook is not Peter Hogg. How hard is that to work out? Use your brain occasionally and get it some air.

Peter Hook is a bitter man

just calling his musicage bands artist/m/f down

as a Mancunian , like most of New order/Joy Division find themself mightier than
every band in the area

wake up Hooky, time's running out, than just being a member of a cult group
who when starting to being big, Curtis put an end to it

New Order was the follow up, but without Ian, somehow personal ego
made it hard to made more good songs than they did

Thank you, I'll take that as flattery!

It was 1991 - I am pretty sure (my son Wes - now of 'Let's Wrestle' had just been born and he is now 20) and yes and I remember now it was The Falcon where we went to see Suede that night.

Sorry you all hate Kill Uncle so much - I am still quite fond of it! - best Mark

Not all of us. Some of us hold it in a special dusty little corner of our heart forevermore. The sweet runt of the litter you just cannot help but love :)
Thank you Mr. Nevin ~ for 'Ive Changed My Plea To Guilty' and 'There Is A Place In Hell For Me And My Friends' alone you should be given a Dame-hood for services to Moz!
