Looks like a reissue of Glamorous Glue is scheduled for 21st March 2011.
Just checked Amazon.co.uk and it is showing on there as well- so this looks official.

Wonder if they will use the sleeve that was planned but scrapped in the 90s?

So, if all confirmed, let us expect another reissue of one of his studio albums at the very beginning of April

Good point. Could be that a Your Arsenal reissue is on the cards- maybe with some previously unreleased tracks? Here's hoping.

Seems odd that someone here found it by chance rather than it being officially announced on TTY though. Hope it's legit - would be out just in time for me to treat myself for my birthday. A remastered You've Had Her and Jack The Ripper would be a lovely present.

Ha, it's expected that users hate moderators.

If you don't like Morrissey's work, you should start your own 'Smiths reunite' forum rather than come here to moan about it.

You don't know how to manage a public forum, it'd be good experience for you.

Swines! Curses!
'Kill Uncle' {Redux} passed over I assume?...
If this is all legit and in the pipeline it will be nice to have a beefed up 19th anniversary(!?) edition of 'Your Arse'n'all'. The 'Bona Drag' remaster sounded so very good I'm dripping with antcipation at what 'Your Arsenal' could sound like.
Perhaps the recently deleted 'Beethoven Was Deaf' (which I always choose to listen to when I feel like some 'Arsenal' action cos it's basically sounds better than the original) will be included in any possible deluxe-ish package?

Maybe they'll just stick Beethoven.. on as the 'bonus disc' for the Your Arsenal re-issue (if there is to be one). I'd still buy it - what do they charge for re-issues these days, £15 or something? I can spare that.

After being vehemently opposed to the reissue of Bona Drag I will probably purchase (or download, without paying) this one. Thats cos on my original CD it starts jumping around on Seasick, Yet Still Docked. Which is quite apt.

It will also take me back to the time when, apart from my ridiculous teenage hair"style" I thought by jove this album is 20 times better than Kill Uncle. Actually looking forward to the remastering and if they bung in Beethoven (which I believe is now deleted so would hint that it is) I can relive being on a £2.95 per hour job.

Hi i dont know if this is the right place to post this ive asked before but rememering 1992 and the arsenal years did anyone here et the special ticket bus hotel package from Manchester to see our man at le zenith the gig that Beethoven was recorded which it obviously wasnt because as we all know half of it was from a London gig 2 days earlier. I was on the bus and wondered if anyone else here was? i remember a guy on the trip got a whole blue shiney shirt from Moz. He had to run for his life after the gig to the bus but arrived intact. Before the gig we all had a sight seeing tour and went to Pere lachaise cemetry sic and stood around Oscars grave and i noticed that familiar Moz siganture scrawled in orange wax crayon on Jacb Epsteins sculpture which to my mind was genuine Happy days

Quote from Morrissey; January 10, 2010

"I remain steadfastly proud of "Years of refusal", which along with "You are the quarry" and "Ringleader of the tormentors" are my life's peaks. These three will allow me to die in peace. I am no longer in the thrall of anything that preceded them; the past is not me."

Doesn't mean he shouldn't make a pretty penny off his past though. If he really meant that "the past is not me" stuff he wouldn't sing Smiths songs and songs from earlier albums in his set.
Of course he's going to praise his most recent work as his best. REM aren't trying to promote Collapse Into Now by saying how good Dead Letter Office is/was.

Then, let's face some points:
* If Glamorous glue will be re-released, well maybe the studio album which will be re-released is Your Arsenal cos it contains this song originally.

* Wouldn't be the cover which appears the original cover to this single?

If there is a 'Your Arsenal' reissue, I'm all for it as long as Morrissey doesn't start omitting tracks again. I know many will disagree, but I personally feel that the only thing preventing 'Your Arsenal' from being a masterpiece is the unforgivably short play length, so I think this could be entirely justified. Good news!

a 20 year anniversary edition of kill uncle would have been nice... there were some great unreleased tracks not included on the album.... sing your life would have been good a re-issue.

I know. He can do whatever he likes. I just thought it was an interesting quote from his last real communique of any worth to his audience. I will buy this reissue like I've bought all the rest. More importantly, I just hope to see him at some point this year.

Such happy memories of Your Arsenal... released on my 17th birthday... Glam Rock... scar courtesy of Davyhume Hospital... no lyric sheet so I typed my own out on my cousin's type writer... my first gig at Sheffield City Hall... the lines "David, we wonder, we wonder if the thunder, is ever really gonna begin"... and the t-shirt "We look at danger and we laugh our heads off".

Pure class. Fingers crossed for an extra track (or two) and a tacky badge (or three) :thumb:

How would The Guardian blogs ever cope?

Morrissey, I love you and I always will. You can reissue, you can repackage, you can do anything you like. It's okay for me. I am also very nostalgic of my school years, so ok for Your Arsenal reissue...but how I would love to hear new songs of yours. Come on! ;)

Fopp sell books. Cheap books. Cheap books about popular bands.
Just thought I'd throw that in.

And in all likelihood the studio albums will have fucked-with tracklistings, some new songs added in the place of others which were removed...
