I've concluded that some of the brains here on Solo are just SO hate-filled and humorless that it's pointless to even engage them in a discussion. They communicate in emoticons and gifs... I couldn't possibly read all 29 pages of that stuff. But from what I gathered, Scarlet has weight-issues and took a possibly harmless joke (not aimed at her) a bit too seriously and it snowballed way out of proportion, possibly because people like to shit all over S & JC. But since she and Cagney are constant targets here, I for one can't blame her for taking it too seriously.

It's not that I took it too seriously. It's quite a serious matter, so I don't think one can take it too seriously. But that's not even the crux of the matter. The issue is that there are people who will fight to the death for their God given right to be insulting, cruel, unpleasant, etc. They have a system worked out by which there are people who deserve to be mocked and ridiculed because they brought it upon themselves. Also, just look at the tone they take. They're very different from me and I'll never understand their mindset. They're so flippant... And their senses of humor are just so very low. I'm at the point where I don't care nearly as much as I used to. Now I just think it's a shame that the mild and dear people on Solo have let these cretins take over the place.

EDIT: Oh, and for the record, as I said over and over on that thread, I never for a moment thought that joke was aimed at me. People kept saying that, but it was never true and it still isn't. It just goes to show how their internal dialogs trump what's actually being said.

It is very, very absurd indeed. I think it's quite obvious it is for no other reason than spite. Their constant misinterpretations are obviously deliberate, in order to be assholes. Which in itself is very absurd.
