View Full Version : Would I Lie To You- Solo Style

I've thought of a diverting, if silly, game to play, based loosely on the show 'Would I Lie To You?'. State three random facts about yourself, one of which is untrue. Someone else has to try and guess which fact is fabricated. The person who gets it right states another three facts, and etc etc etc ad infinitum. :D

Anyone fancy going first?

Actually only 1 of these is true! Read it wrong!

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and say that C) is true.

EDIT: The rules have changed slightly- either two of the facts can be true and one false, or one of the facts can be true and two false. :D

My lie was indeed.....*drum roll*.....B! I have never eaten cat food.

As for the grandad story if you are interested. My dad and a friend had gone to see The Who back in the 70s. My grandad (dad's dad) had gone to pick them up and had gone for a small walk aroud the car park when the rain came down heavily. He had parked a far way away so was kind of trapped until a security man said he should come inside from the cold. He was sat down in a room with a tray of tea and biscuits. After about 10 minutes 2 guys came crashing in, shouting and wrapped in towels and sweating like mad. They said hello to him before sitting to one side with some other people drinking tea and some drinking beer.

On the way home my dad was flicking through a programme for the gig and there was a picture of The Who to which my grandad simply replied, "oh, I was just having some tea with those boys".

Correct! I hate mayonnaise with the fire of a thousand suns. :D

And I'm guessing that B is the lie.

Actually, B) is TRUE! :D It's C) that is the lie--I have seen William Shatner before, but I've never shaken his hand (not really sure that I would want to).

For those of you who have seen The Dark Knight, I was an extra at the funeral of the mayor. I was a mourner, wearing a black peacoat. I got to see Gary Oldman and Maggie Gyllenhaal from a distance, as well as the director. After the director ended filming for the day, Heath Ledger (who did not have the Joker face paint on, but did have the rest of the Joker makeup on) walked right by me on the way back to his trailer, and winked. He was no more than five feet away.

As for A), my college had something called "J Term". For the month of January, you had to either take a class, go on a college trip, do independent study, or do an internship. My senior year, I went on a trip to New York City with one of the professors from the Women's Studies department. It was a blast! One of our activities was, yes, we actually went to Gloria Steinem's home, and she graciously talked to us (a group of college kids) for over an hour. She is a lovely, highly intelligent lady.

Nope. It's 2. I kinda like earwigs. Their pincers don't work; they're only there to try to scare everybody off. It's kind of sad, the poor dears.

The goats DID eat the contents of my handbag. I was a child and my bag contained a loaf of bread that I had planned to feed the goats slice by slice. A goat or two (I forget now.) crept up behind me and ate the bread, plastic wrapper and all, and anything else it could find. I was very upset with those naughty goats. (Concerned too! Eating plastic can't be good for them.)

Correct! I put Shaun of The Dead in there because I was curious if anyone else had seen it. Shaun of the Dead is kind of how I discovered the Smiths. I only knew four of their songs. Then I watched Shaun of the Dead and "Panic" got stuck in my head. When I found out that it was by the Smiths I started listening to Louder Then Bombs and I fell in love.
